No battery
For those who illegally dump garbage
■ Battery level How to check the battery level
Tap the target bitlock in the app and swipe up from the bottom of the screen to display the remaining battery level.
You can also check this on the My Device screen.
■ How to update battery level
The battery level will be updated when your smartphone and bitlock device communicate via Bluetooth.
If you connect via a Wi-Fi connector, the latest remaining battery level will be updated in real time via the network.

*Please prepare four replacement batteries (model number: CR123A) before proceeding.
Batteries are stored under the kitchen or sink in the shared areas. (Please check the location on each floor.)
1. Remove the top of the bitlock body.

-Even if the height adjustment is included, only the top part of the unit can be removed.
2. Remove the top part of the bitlock body.
3. Hook your fingers along the knurled part and slide it with both hands at the same time to remove the battery cover.
4. Insert the replacement battery in the following orientation:

6. Attach the top of the bitlock to the bottom of the main body that is attached to the door.
7. Once the battery is installed, you will hear a "beep beep" sound from the unit and the battery replacement is complete.
When in trouble
If you have any problems with battery replacement or battery charge, please check the following.
No sound when replacing
Please check the following two points.
-Is the battery inserted in the correct direction?
- Is the battery cover in place without any gaps?
The remaining battery level display remains unchanged even after replacing the battery
When you use the app to unlock or lock the door via Bluetooth communication, the latest battery level will be obtained. If the battery level before the replacement is displayed, please try the above procedure.
Solution 1 for when your key is not available
How to update the firmware
1. Tap on the new update on the home screen
This will only be displayed if a firmware update is available.
2. Tap New update available
3. Tap New version available
4. Tap Update
5. When the pop-up appears, tap Start
6. Start the firmware update.
Do not leave the Bitlocker unit unattended during the update.
7. When the message "Update Complete" appears, the update is complete.
Solution 2 for when the key is not available
Method 1: Restart the app
1. Close the homehub app or bitlocker app.
2. Launch the app
3. Try scanning Bitlock again
Method 2: Turn your smartphone's network settings on and off
■ For iPhone
1 Tap the Bluetooth icon on your smartphone.
2. Tap the Bluetooth icon to turn it on
3. Try scanning Bitlock again
■ For Android
1. Tap the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi icons on your smartphone to turn them off.
(Only the Bluetooth icon if the Wi-Fi icon is off)
2. Tap the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi icons to turn them on
3. Try scanning again
Method 3: Clear your Bluetooth cache data
*Android devices only
1. Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > "See all x apps"
2. Tap “︙” in the top right corner of the app list screen.
3. Tap Show system
4. Tap Bluetooth from the list.
5. Tap Clear cache
6. Tap Clear storage
7. Restart your smartphone
8. Start the app and try scanning again.
Method 4: Check your smartphone's Bluetooth settings
■ For iPhone
Regarding Bluetooth settings for iOS13 and later, you need to turn on the Bluetooth settings for the app you are using in addition to the smartphone itself. Please refer to the following steps to set it up.
1. Display the settings icon on the home screen and turn on Bluetooth.
2. Open the iPhone settings > Privacy > Bluetooth.
3. Turn on the Bluetooth setting in the app
■ For Android
Regarding Bluetooth settings for iOS13 and later, you need to turn on the Bluetooth settings for the app you are using in addition to the smartphone itself. Please refer to the following steps to set it up.
1. Display the settings icon on the home screen and turn on Bluetooth.
2. Turn on location usage
3. Open location permissions from the settings screen
4. Allow the bitlock app to access location information
*Please select "Always allow" or "Allow only while using the app".
Solution 3 for when your key is not working
[Key confirmation]
As shown in the screen below, the front door key is numbered 000 (photo on the left), and the private room keys are numbered with the room number (photo on the right).
If it does not open, please check again to see if the key you are using is the front door key or the private room key.
The key changes when you slide your phone screen left or right.
(Some properties only have Bitkey installed at the entrance.)
[Confirm your email address]
Please make sure that the email address you used to apply for your Bitkey matches the email address you use in the Bitkey app.
*Please note that you cannot receive the key by logging in with your phone number.

Please enter the link in the email and log in to receive your key.
*Please check your inbox as Bitkey invitation emails (verification emails) are often filtered out as spam. If the email is filtered out as spam, the link may not work. Try moving the email to your regular inbox.
In addition, please note that the email will not be sent from our company, but from <bitlock Service> noreply@mail.bitkey.tokyo .
*If the email address you use to log in to the app is different from the email address you used to apply, the key may not have been issued or may have been issued to a different account.
Solution 4 for when your key is not working
Other solutions (the following may work)
1. Restart your smartphone.
2. Delete the app and download it again.
Solution 5 for when your key is not working
The lock and unlock knob positions may have been recorded backwards.
Please try "Setting opening and closing position" from settings.
Tapping doesn't work
The communication may be failing due to cached data within the app.
Please close the app, restart it, and then try the operation again.
The knob stops midway
The following causes are possible:
Bitlocker battery is low
The lock/unlock position recorded in bitlock is misaligned
Please refer to the following article to check the remaining battery level and try replacing the battery.
If there is no problem with the battery level, the opening and closing position information may be incorrect.
Please try "Setting the opening and closing positions" using the following procedure.
1. Display bitlocker on the home screen
2. Swipe up from the bottom and tap "Device Settings"
3. Tap "Opening and closing position settings" in the Settings tab.
4. Check the actual key status and reset it.
The knob won't turn
The following causes are possible:
・The battery level of bitlock LITE is low
・The lock/unlock positions recorded inside bitlock LITE are misaligned
・The bitlock LITE holder does not grip the knob properly
・Trouble with internal parts
Check the battery level and if it is low, try replacing the battery.
If there is no problem with the battery level, try setting the opening and closing positions using the following procedure.
1. Display bitlock LITE on the home screen
2. Swipe up from the bottom and tap Device Settings.
3. Tap "Opening and closing position settings" in the Settings tab.
4. Check the actual key status and reset it.
If that doesn't fix the problem, remove bitlock from the door and check if the knob turns when locking or unlocking the door using the app.
An electronic beep will sound
The following causes are possible:
• The battery in the bitlock unit is dead.
